Storytelling & Coconut Leaf Art By Payal

We are delighted to talk about this session because it was held by one of our very gifted Farmizens, Payal Desai:). Payal has been involved in storytelling for about 2 years and also has a creative streak in her.

Her storytelling sessions, not only help children cross barriers of hesitation and underconfidence but also make them embrace values of sharing and caring.

Here is a video by Payal, where she is introducing herself and has also shared her experience with Farmizen.

We absolutely love the fact that she is putting umpteen efforts to instil moral values in kids πŸ™‚

The onset of storytelling session..

Children who were a part of this session were completely glued to the story narrated by Payal.

Best part of the storytelling session…

Coconut leaf toy making!

The storytelling session concluded with an equally wonderful class of “toy making with coconut leaves”. According to us, this was a brilliant concept that allowed kids to be creative with elements of nature!

These little hands are proudly holding their creations!

His happiness has not boundaries! Look at him grin from ear to ear πŸ™‚

We would also like to take a moment and showcase some of the other creative art sessions that she has conducted in her apartment:) We think that they are nothing but marvellous.

This one is making puppets out of paper cups πŸ™‚

This one here is about making folders from old newspapers!

We absolutely love this one! Here she has taught the little ones to make “home sweet home” from Pista shells!

This one really made our eyes moist :’).Β  Here the kids that she narrates stories to are encouraged by her to donate a little sum of money from their piggy banks to the underprivileged people.

Hats off to Payal for coming up with a concept like this, that allows “today’s” generation to peep out of their gadgets to look at the real world and good values of life!

We at Farmizen are also doing our bit to break the walls of technology. The same virtual walls that have made the children of today lose touch with their roots and real life.

We also encourage fellow Farmizens to get their children for regular farm visits, so that they stay close to their roots and mother nature. πŸ™‚

You make the whole family feel proud of you, though it didn’t come to as a great surprise as I always know how creative and positive person you are!! We are pretty sure this is just a beginning and bless you for your efforts in bringing children (why children only, exemplary for adults also) out of their mechanical virtual world to introduce them to the Nature. I am proud of you.
