    • Meet Your Instructor: Krishanu Seal

Krishanu Seal is a certified Permaculture Designer from Geoff Lawton’s renowned Permaculture Research Institute in Australia. With over three decades in senior leadership roles at Amazon, Yahoo, Flipkart, and Siemens, he brings a rich professional background in Computer Software. However, his true passion lies in Regenerative Agriculture, and for the past two decades, he has actively transformed dry, degraded land into lush, productive food forests. His unique blend of tech expertise and environmental commitment drives his dedication to creating self-sustaining ecosystems.

Together with his partner Bhaswati, Krishanu has applied permaculture principles on semi-arid land in outskirts of Bangalore near Bagalur. What started as degraded, overgrazed land is now a 100% organic, lush green food forest. Through rainwater harvesting alone—no borewell or piped irrigation—they have created a self-sustaining ecosystem with over 150 fruit trees and Ayurvedic herbs, all grown without fertilizers or pesticides.

Have a look below at the transformation they were able to achieve. Without any irrigation setup or electricity or costly inputs. By simply harnessing nature’s gifts.
