Janani Farms is located in Mudukanapura village, T Narsipura Taluk, Mysore District. The farm follows the ZBNF model of natural farming and techniques. We have been growing lentils, pulses, vegetables, ragi, brown top millets, groundnuts and paddy on a rotational basis since 2019. A year ago, coconut, arecanut, and other fruit plants such as jackfruit and mango were planted. Banana (Ellaki variety) is used as an intercrop. Greens, chillies, radish, and other vegetables are grown on a small scale. Since beginning, the farm has used chemical-free practices. The use of tractors or heavy machinery for tilling is limited. Jeevarmutha is distributed to improve soil health and to control pests, along with neemastra. Horsegram and cowpea are grown as green mulching plants that aid in nitrogen
