Situated in Malappuram, Mampad, Kerala Kucheria Mala farm is managed by Kuchria K Marattukalam who has been a fulltime farmer for more than 30 years The farm is spread over 10 acres of which 2 acres is dedicated for cultivation of the exotic Mangosteen, over 200 plants which were already 5 years old were transplanted 6 years back and have started yielding now. Cow dung slurry is liberally applied every year at the base of plant which has been giving good results. Rain sprinklers are used to maintain humidity needed for mangosteen. No chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used The farm also has rambutan, coconut and areca and a few other exotic fruiting trees
